What are Difference between LINUX and Windows Web Hosting?
Most of the web hosting servers uses either of the two well known operating systems for website hosting. There can be many other but these two have occupied more than 90 percent of the total market. Linux is considered as the most popular one because it is easy to install and cost effective too. Windows support system for the web hosting is their main feature though there are many features where they are similar and many where they are totally different. Front end is visible to all website users while backend is the most important for the developer or webmaster. LINUX is easy to handle because it gives users Cpanel while Windows give Plesk. File transfer protocol based transfer is available with both the platforms but Telnet is available only with the LINUX.
